Description:
The Cancer Care Registered Nurse is part of the Whakapiri Ora team, providing whānau-centred support to individuals navigating cancer care.
This role focuses on breaking down barriers to hauora and social care services, ensuring they are understandable, accessible, affordable, appropriate, and accountable. You will support whānau through guidance, coordination, and advocacy, offering unconditional care grounded in manaakitanga, whānaungatanga, and aroha.
The goal of this role is to ensure whānau feel supported, informed, and empowered throughout their cancer journey.
Qualifications Needed:
• Registered Nurse with current NZ Nursing Council registration.
• Experience in cancer care, community health, or kaupapa Māori services is preferred.
Skills Required
• Manaakitanga: Providing compassionate, respectful care to whānau.
• Whānaungatanga: Building strong, trusting relationships.
• Aroha: Demonstrating genuine empathy and commitment to wellbeing.
• Navigation & Advocacy: Supporting access to hauora and social services.
