Our community outreach team, Whakapiri Ora, is dedicated to serving our community, with their mission to provide and support Māori holistic health services to whānau, hapū, iwi, and communities of Te Hiku o Te Ika.

You will regularly see our Whakapiri Ora team out in the community doing their mahi, offering a large range of free, whānau-friendly health and wellbeing services for people of all ages, in a safe, confidential and caring space.

These services are open to everyone, even those not enrolled as a Te Hiku Hauora patient and include (but are not limited to) Te Puna poipoia (supporting a healthier lifestyle for tamariki & whānau), Korikori a iwi (nutrition and physical activity programmes for community, life skills etc), Social services, Korikori a hauora (nutrition and activity to improve wellbeing), Toki rau (support to become smoke-free), Wellness Health Navigation, Mobile Nurses, Youth Health, Korikori a kaumatua, Breast and Cervical screening, Cancer society, Hapu Mama and Tamariki and more.
