Nga Korero a Te Hiku Hauora
About Us
Established in 1995 as a charitable trust, Te Hiku Hauora is the largest provider of primary health care services in the Te Hiku (Far North) region.
Employing over 160 people, we offer effective and accessible primary health care to the Far North community focusing in particular on the high needs of our Māori community.
Te Hiku Hauora has a multi-disciplinary approach to health care incorporating: General Practitioners and Dentists, Health Promotion, Mobile Nursing services and Home Support, all a part of our move towards a one-stop-shop for health care.
Committed to making our services available to everyone, regardless of their financial circumstances or background, many of our services and programmes are free.
Our free services include free dental care for 13 – 17-year-olds and free GP visits for under 17-year-olds registered at our clinics.
We are here to make quality healthcare accessible for all members of our community.
